Welcome to the Harbour World Clubs!!

Harbour World is extending its list of Clubs on a daily basis, as there are literally thousands around the world, and new clubs are opening all the time. If your club is not listed, then please let us know, and we will be happy to help you get it listed.

Things to remember when either looking to join a club, or even sailing into one!

What kind of club is it, private or open to new members/visitors? (see Sailing clubs)

Is the club inland - ie based on a lake or in a port, or is it shore based ie on the coast?

How the club is run, either by volunteers at weekends, or is it open all year round with an established management structure.

What are the fees for joining?

What kind of boats tend to use the club? (see Boat sales)

Is the club involved in racing, either nationally or internationally?

What kind of Beer do they sell?

Can you store your boat there, if so how much is it per annum?

What days can you sail?

What sailing qualifications do you need to be able to sail with the club?

Do they offer further training? (see Academy)

What events do they organise throughout the year? (see Events)

Is there a dress code?

What children facilities do they have?

Can you hire boats from the club?

The list above is just some of the questions you should be willing to ask when looking to join a local sailing club. Many clubs have lots of others benefits of joining so be sure to ask lots of questions, or be prepared to go to the club and meet some of the members and ascertain their feedback on the benefits of joining that particular club.
